Bills GM on former Vikings WR Stefon Diggs: ‘I would not call that guy a diva’

Buffalo’s general manager Brandon Beane thinks former Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs is “a very competitive guy…he brings an edge to that position.”

Vikings fans might disagree, but Bills general manager Brandon Beane is not giving the diva tag to wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

Diggs was a wide receiver for the Vikings, until Minnesota traded him to Buffalo in the offseason. Now that he is on Beane’s team, the general manager had some praise for his newly arrived wideout.

Here’s what he had to say about Diggs to a group of reporters:

“I think one of the misnomers out there is that we’re looking for all choir boys,” Beane said. “That’s not accurate. We are looking for professionals. I would say this about him: he’s a very competitive guy…he brings an edge to that position. I know diva gets put onto that position a lot. I would not call that guy a diva. I would call him more of I think what he was referring to Josh Allen as — a dog.”

Beane also said that the Bills “believe in the facts that we know about him. We believe he will be a fit here.”
