The Washington Huskies have themselves a new salesman in future Hall of Famer Bill Belichick.
While it’s still odd to see the eight-time Super Bowl champion on a media tour and not on the sidelines with the New England Patriots, listening to him talk about how impressed he’s been with Jedd Fisch’s Washington program has become one of the more stunning things for fans to wrap their heads around this season.
On Monday, Belichick went on the Pat McAfee Show to describe his experience at Washington’s 27-17 win over No. 10 Michigan.
“What an environment,” Belichick said. “I had never been out to the University of Washington for a game, and it’s right there on the lake, the crowd was incredible, what a great, great environment for a college football game, and what a big win for the Huskies.”
As if it wasn’t enough for Belichick to don a hoodie with Washington’s throwback panting dog logo on it on one of ESPN’s largest telecasts, he wasn’t done praising the Huskies. Later that day, he appeared on Monday Night Football’s ManningCast, hosted by Eli and Peyton Manning, and continued discussing Washington’s crowd.
“I was up at the University of Washington over the weekend, and things were lit up there,” Belichick said.
The impact of having a salesman like Belichick can never be understated, especially with the platform he’s been given.
