On Derrick Henry contract
Robinson made it clear the Titans wanted to sign Derrick Henry to a long-term deal, but were simply unable to get it done, which led to the franchise tag. He also left it open that a deal could still get done before camp.
#Titans GM Jon Robinson: "At the end of the day we couldn't come to an agreement on (a long-term deal with Derrick Henry). I've spoken to his reps after we used the tag and we want to continue to have those discussions in hopes of reaching some type of long-term agreement."

Tennessee has until July 15 to get a long-term deal done, or else Henry will play the season out on the franchise tag. In that instance, he’d make $10.2 million in 2020.
Henry has the non-exclusive franchise tag, which means he can still negotiate with teams but the Titans have the right to match any offer. Any team that signs him would have to surrender two first-round picks.
