Big Ten sees six teams in latest Associated Press Top 25 Poll

The Big Ten Conference sees six teams in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll.

It has been a fun start to the College Football season. Through two weeks, we have seen some great games, some crazy results, and some wild upsets. Through that, the Big Ten Conference has been very strong with 29 wins in 34 games. With that, they were rewarded with six teams in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll.

New Addition in for Iowa

The Nebraska Cornhuskers took over the spot for the Iowa Hawkeyes. Iowa lost at home to Iowa State, and Nebraska beat up Colorado at home. The Cornhuskers were one of four new teams in the Top 25. Clemson, Boston College, and Northern Illinois were the others. Northern Illinois, of course, won on the road at Notre Dame.

Three in the Top 10

The Big Ten Conference has three in the Top 10. Last week, they had four. The Michigan Wolverines, of course, fell out of the Top 10 and dropped down to 17th overall. They are the fifth team in the poll. The three teams in the Top 10 are the Ohio State Buckeyes, Penn State Nittany Lions, and Oregon Ducks.

Ohio State is third, just behind Georgia and Texas. Penn State comes in at 8th. They are behind Alabama, Ole Miss, Missouri, and Tennessee. The Oregon Ducks dropped to 9th, just behind Penn State. The Miami Hurricanes round out the Top 10.

Trojans on the Verge

It has been a solid start for Lincoln Riley and the USC Trojans. They are coming off a shut-out win over Utah State. The Trojans have moved up to 11th in the latest poll.

No Big Ten teams are playing a ranked team in Week 3. The lone conference game is the Indiana Hoosiers at UCLA Bruins.
