The Big Ten is flexing its muscles in the latest edition of the US LBM Coaches Poll.
A trio of Big Ten squads find themselves ranked within the top five of the newest US LBM Coaches Poll.
Texas is ranked No. 1, Ohio State is No. 2, Oregon is No. 3, Georgia is No. 4 and Penn State is No. 5.
The Big Ten will take center stage in Week 7 of the college football season as Ohio State travels to Oregon in a primetime NBC contest. The Buckeyes’ date at the Ducks was projected to be one of the season’s heavyweight showdowns during the offseason and it’s certainly played out that way thus far.
Some shocking Week 6 upsets created the opening for Big Ten squads to go soaring up the rankings. Then-No. 2 Alabama was upended by unranked Vanderbilt and then-No. 4 Tennessee got taken down by unranked Arkansas.
After its lopsided 35-7 loss at Ohio State, Iowa received just two points in the receiving votes section of this newest US LBM Coaches Poll. The Hawkeyes received 29 points last week.
Here’s a look at the full US LBM Coaches Poll entering Week 7.
