‘Big Money Kyler’ footing bill for Cardinals meetup in Dallas of 20 teammates

Kenyan Drake called him “Big Money Kyler” because the whole thing is costing Murray more than $40,000.

Arizona Cardinals fans have heard for weeks about the upcoming get-together of Cardinals players with quarterback Kyler Murray to work out for the first time on the field in this virtual offseason. Running back Kenyan Drake revealed on NFL Network that it is happening this week in Dallas and that Murray invited them.

Drake called him “Big Money Kyler.”

According to Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio, Murray is paying for the entire get-together.

He is paying for travel, lodging and food for 20 offensive teammates, all of whom have accepted the invitation — three quarterbacks, four running backs, nine receiving and four tight ends.

According to Florio, it comes to more than $40,000 he is paying for personally.

That is the sort of thing that will earn the respect of teammates. Likewise, it will give them a chance for on-field work to work on timing and chemistry.
