The Philadelphia 76ers signed big man Mo Bamba in free agency in 2023 looking to add more depth behind Joel Embiid. The Sixers had Paul Reed as the main backup to the big fella, but it never hurts to have more depth.
In one season with the Sixers, Bamba averaged 4.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks. He started 17 of the 57 games he played due to the injury Embiid suffered. He wasn’t at his best throughout the season as he was dealing with a nagging knee injury, but he did fight through to be available for the Sixers.
After one season in Philadelphia, Bamba will join the Los Angeles Clippers on a deal. He will join Nic Batum who also joined the Clippers in free agency on Monday.

With Reed still under contract at the moment–his deal is non-guaranteed for the 2024-25 season–and the additions of Andre Drummond and Adem Bona, there isn’t a place for Bamba at the moment. He will have an opportunity to play with the Clippers.
