Big game from Duncan Robinson helps keep Miami Heat alive in NBA Finals

The former Michigan basketball guard had a big game to keep the Miami Heat alive in the NBA Finals in Game 5 against the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Miami Heat were on the verge of elimination in a tightly played Game Five of the 2020 NBA Finals, and though Jimmy Butler was the leading scorer for Miami, Duncan Robinson played a critical role.

With 26 points off of 8 buckets on 15 shots — including 7 from three — Robinson was the second-leading scorer for Miami on Friday night, and the fourth-best on either team. But his big contribution also came on the defensive side of the ball, as he helped limit LeBron James in crunch time of the elimination game.

Miami won, 111-108.

Thanks in large part to Robinson’s performance, the Heat play on, now down 3-2 to the Los Angeles Lakers and will have another game to try and force a Game Seven.
