As college football conferences continue to release their plans for the 2020 season, the Big 12 Conference continues to move at a snail pace.
That may not be a bad thing, either.
The Big 12 has talked about not rushing into any decisions before and want to make sure they make the best decision as possible. The conference announced they would play a nine conference game, one non-conference game schedule for the 2020 season.
We’ve seen the Big 10 and Pac-12 move closer to postponing the fall season to the spring and the ACC and SEC be rumored to push on for now. The Big 12 has a big meeting tonight with its school presidents and board of directors. Some were saying a decision on a season could come tonight, but that doesn’t look to be a guarantee.
Texas AD Chris Del Conte says today’s Big 12 meetings is “for us to inform the presidents of the medical guidelines of each school,” so they feel informed about how fall sports would be handled. Doctors, ADs, presidents and commissioner. Not necessarily a yes/no vote on fall FB.

The Big 12 is set to release the schedule for the nine-game slate for the 2020 season this week, but after the rash of major decisions around the country, they could also push that decision back. The conference has proposed a Sept. 19 start date, but that isn’t confirmed yet, either.
