The Big 12 Conference was the lone power-five conference to not make a decision on a scheduling model for the upcoming season.
The ACC, Big 10, Pac-12 and SEC have gone to conference-only schedules with the ACC the lone conference to play 11 games opposed to 10 like the others. The Big 12, though, has a slight problem with only 10 conference members and would need to play one non-conference game to match the other leagues.
It appears as if the conference will do just that.
Sources tell me and @NicoleAuerbach: Big 12 Board of Directors approved plan to play 9 conference games and 1 nonconference game.

Oklahoma has lost one game to Tennessee so far due to COVID-19 when the SEC announced it would go to conference-only games. The Sooners still have Missouri State and Army left on their slate.
Other conferences have pushed the start of a season back to the second or third week of Sept.. The Big 12 has yet to release when it will start its season or what the schedule will look like.
Oklahoma is scheduled to begin the 2020 season on Aug. 29 against Missouri State.
