For a third straight week, Michigan State football is a touchdown underdog — this time against Maryland.
The Spartans are a 6.5-point underdog for Saturday’s game against Maryland, according to BetMGM. MSU has been an underdog for the past three games, however, the last two games have been right around a touchdown as well. In both of those games, the Spartans were blown out — losing 49-7 vs. Iowa on Nov. 7 and 24-0 vs. Indiana last Saturday.
Michigan State enters this match-up 1-3, while Maryland is 2-1 following back-to-back wins over Minnesota and Penn State.
It’s still no guarantee Saturday’s game will take place, with the Terps recovering from a COVID-19 outbreak amongst the football program. Eight players tested positive for COVID-19 last week, which resulted in Maryland halting all football activities, including the cancelation of their game vs. Ohio State.
Kickoff between MSU-Maryland is scheduled for 12 p.m. EST on Saturday. The game will be televised on the Big Ten Network.
