The Texas A&M baseball team continued to roll this weekend at the home of the reigning World Series Champions, the Texas Rangers.
The Aggies (11-0) are undefeated through 11 games for the first time since 2015. Texas A&M accomplished that feat on Sunday afternoon with a 10-5 win against Arizona State (5-6) at Globe Life Field in Arlington to conclude the College Baseball Series.
The weekend began on Friday night with a 4-0 shutout of the Sun Devils. The Aggies defeated USC (2-9) on Saturday by a final score of 9-3.
Head coach Jim Schlossnagle‘s former team TCU also competed in the series. The No. 5 Horned Frogs (12-0) won 9-8 versus USC in 11 innings on Friday and 9-5 on Sunday. TCU defeated Arizona State 11-9 on Saturday.
Despite the two Top 10 teams not facing off, context matters. While both teams remained unbeaten, Texas A&M did so in convincing fashion. The Aggies outscored their opponents 23-8 while the Horned Frogs snuck by their foes 29-22.
