It was yet another frustrating day for the Oklahoma Sooners, who fell 23-20 to the West Virginia Mountaineers on Casey Legg’s last-second field goal. Oklahoma got another big day from Eric Gray, who ran for 211 yards and averaged 8.4 yards per carry, and scored two touchdowns.
The Sooners’ defense played well for nearly three quarters, but their struggles with dual-threat quarterbacks popped up again. Oklahoma allowed Garrett Greene to run for more than 100 yards and score two touchdowns.
It was an unfortunate loss for the Sooners who fell to 5-5 on the season with two games remaining. Oklahoma is now just one game out of last place in the Big 12 standings at 2-5.
Though it was a dreary day in Morgantown, there were some fantastic shots taken from the loss.
