Things didn’t quite break the way that the Iowa Hawkeyes had hoped in the TransPerfect Music City Bowl against the Missouri Tigers.
In a game that saw them hold a 24-14 lead in the second half, the Missouri Tigers found a way to be resilient and come back to win 27-24, which included a late-game stop on a QB sneak on 4th-&-inches.
The loss drops the Iowa Hawkeyes to 8-5 to cap off a 2024 season that will go down as one that could have been. This team dropped some games that they shouldn’t have despite the immense talent on the roster with Kaleb Johnson, Jay Higgins, Kaden Wetjen, and many more.
As Iowa enters the offseason following the bowl game, their attention will turn to the transfer portal and adding pieces to help them improve areas that need reinforcements.
