Texas A&M’s (46-13) exciting extra-inning victory over rival Texas inched the Aggies a game closer to winning the College Station regional and moving on to the Super Regional round for the first time since the 2022 season.

Under the masterful guidance of head coach Jim Schlossnagle and pitching coach Max Weiner, ace pitcher Ryan Prager delivered a stellar performance, striking out seven batters on just 87 pitches over six solid innings.

The reliable closer, Evan Aschenbeck, sealed the deal with a four-inning relief, allowing only one walk and resulting in a shutout. This strategic pitching plan has left the bullpen fresh and ready for Sunday night’s game.

Set to make his second start on the mound, sophomore lefty Shane Sdao has continued to show his immense potential after just two seasons with the program. He was named Co-SEC Player of the Week after a late regular season win over Ole Miss, recording seven strikeouts on the day.

While A&M’s offense relied on three Texas errors to earn the win, the hope is that things start to turn around, starting on Sunday night. After the game, here are the best photos from the rousing 4-2 win.
