Michigan State football made numerous critical mistakes to ruin a great opportunity at Boston College on Saturday night.
The Spartans outplayed the Eagles most of the night, but turnovers and missed scoring opportunities ultimately cost Michigan State in the 23-19 loss. Michigan State had four turnovers in the loss, including a game-clinching interception by Boston College in the endzone.
With the loss, Michigan State drops to 3-1 on the year. Things will get much harder for the Spartans from here, though. Michigan State football returns to the field next week in a home Big Ten matchup against top-five Ohio State. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
