The Auburn Tigers were unable to get the win they so desperately needed over the No. 2 Alabama Wednesday night but they pushed the Crimson Tide to the brink.
The Tigers led for over 36 minutes but once again watched a lead slip away against their rival and lost 90-85 in overtime. The win ensured Alabama won the SEC regular-season title and got to cut down the nets in Coleman Coliseum in front of Auburn.
The Tigers got big performances from [autotag]K.D. Johnson[/autotag] and [autotag]Allen Flanigan[/autotag] in the game. Johnson led the Tigers with 21 points off the bench while Flanigan had 17 points and eight rebounds before fouling out.
