Caitlin Clark and the WNBA All-Stars did more than simply beat the US Olympic women’s basketball team, they sent a very loud and clear message.
Clark, the most noticeable snub from the Olympic squad, suited up for her first WNBA All-Star game alongside some of the league’s best and took down Team USA 117-109.
Clark only had four points on the evening but did her part in sharing the ball as she racked up 10 assists, had two steals, and only two turnovers. The WNBA All-Stars were led by Arike Ogunbowale with 34 points. Allisha Gray added 16, Kelsey Mitchell had 13, Nneka Ogwumike had 14, and Angel Reese added 12 points and 11 rebounds.
The victory made a statement and provided some foundation for questioning the decisions made by the US Olympic team for who they are taking to Paris and who is being left at home, despite knocking off the squad that is supposed to be our very best.
As the Olympics near and the WNBA All-Stars take a well-earned rest, take a look at some of the best photos from the evening.
