In what turned into a historic season, [autotag]Kaytron Allen[/autotag] and [autotag]Nick Singleton[/autotag] became the tone setters for a successful 2022 season for the Penn State football team.
There are always questions surrounding highly recruited freshmen such as “can they live up to the hype?” and to say that both men did that would be an understatement. Only two teams have had two freshmen rush for 700+ yards since the year 2000 and that would be the 2012 Georgia Bulldogs when Keith Marshall and Todd Gurley did it and this year when Kaytron Allen and Nick Singleton broke those marks.
Penn State had its most success recently when they had a strong run game, it is back for them. They rode Miles Sanders and Saquon Barkley all the way to the Rose Bowl and depending on how championship weekend goes they may have done that again.
