Five underdogs covered the spread win Week 16 while 4 of those teams won their games outright. The New England Patriots covered the 14-point spread in a 24-21 loss at the Buffalo Bills, while the Carolina Panthers, (+5.5 in 36-30 OT win vs. Arizona Cardinals), Washington Commanders, (+4 in 36-33 win vs. Philadelphia Eagles), Dallas Cowboys (+4 in 26-24 win vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers) and Miami Dolphins (+2 in 29-27 win vs. San Francisco 49ers) all won their games straight up as home underdogs.

The Commanders were the only pick of our 3 last week to hit, as the New York Giants lost 34-7 at the Atlanta Falcons as 10-point underdogs — the line was +8.5 when we published this column last week — and the the New Orleans Saints were shut out 34-0 as 14.5-point underdogs at the Green Bay Paackers.

The 1-2 week drops us to 24-23-1 on the season. Let’s make that better in Week 17.

Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NFL odds, and tab the best NFL Week 17 underdog bets to cash in on among SportsbookWire’s NFL expert picks and predictions.
