The Kansas City Chiefs completed their first padded practice of the season at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Missouri on Monday.
With the return of pads, practice featured plenty of 1-on-1 drills between the offensive line and defensive line. There was also the thud period, where players can hit and wrap up. The team also had the 9-on-7 team run period, 7-on-7 drills and 11-on-11 drills to work through. Overall it was a successful first day in pads, with the intensity high and good action on both offensive and defensive sides of the ball.
