Boston Celtics third-year power forward Semi Ojeleye has quietly stepped up his game in the 2019-20 NBA season so far, complementing his established role as a defensive stopper for some of the harder covers in the league.
Having proven his value on that end of the ball as one of the few players on the team able to guard players like the Milwaukee Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo, the SMU product’s attention turned to putting points on the board this season, particularly via his outside shot.
And the work Ojeleye has put in has paid off with the best 3-point percentage of his career to date by a considerable margin, with the Overland Park (Kansas) native connecting on 36.7 % of his attempts from beyond the arc.
The next step on that end of the ball is to increase the volume Ojeleye lets it rip from deep, and with the season about to restart, the former Mustang will get a crack at letting it fly.
But until Boston gets back on the court, watch the video embedded above of all of the best plays by the former No. 37 pick in the 2019-20 season so far.
