Alabama has been the most desirable college football destination since Nick Saban became the head coach back in 2007. Historical recruiting classes have been built year-after-year, and it doesn’t seem to be slowing down.
The Crimson Tide is considered the top brand in the business, and that made us think. What if we dove into the top Alabama football recruit from every state dating back to the year 2000? What would those results look like?
Well, it did not disappoint. Alabama has managed to go outside of its own state for success on the recruiting trail, and that includes 30 different states having at least one representative come to Tuscaloosa over the last two decades.
Some of the names below are recent stars, while others are fresh recruits from the 2021 class. There are also plenty of former Alabama standouts from the past, including Andre Smith back in the early Saban era and Derrick Pope from the early-2000s.
