The Cincinnati Bengals aren’t missing out on all of the big pro days ahead of the 2021 NFL draft.
After sending key names to Florida State and Alabama pro days, Bengals offensive line coach Frank Pollack personally oversaw the workout of Alijah Vera-Tucker at USC’s pro day on Wednesday.
Vera-Tucker was an interesting name to keep an eye on even if the Bengals weren’t there because he had starting experience at guard before moving to left tackle and played at a high level.
Pollack, of course, just returned to the Bengals after the team parted ways with Jim Turner and instantly got an upgrade with Riley Reiff in free agency. The need at guard is still very apparent and no further signing on the market right now would stop the team from taking a top prospect in the first or second rounds.
Is that Vera-Tucker? Hard to say, though the interest from Pollack himself is pretty telling.
