The Cincinnati Bengals will have two key weapons on the field during Sunday’s season-ending tilt with the Baltimore Ravens.
Friday, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor announced the team would have both wideouts Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd available for the game, per ESPN’s Ben Baby.
Higgins had been on the injury report all week but was merely a case of the team playing it safe. Boyd missed last week’s win over Houston while working his way back from a concussion.
It’s Higgins, not Boyd, who happened to lead the team in receiving through 15 games. The rookie has 67 catches for 908 yards and six scores, while Boyd has 78 for 840 and four.
Of course, it was Boyd who put the dagger in Baltimore’s playoff hopes a few seasons ago, instead sending Buffalo to the postseason, spurring a fun off-the-field donation spree.
Boyd and Higgins will play a part in deciding whether the Bengals can knock the Ravens from postseason contention, playing the ultimate spoiler and hitting on a three-game winning streak in the process.
