It turns out the Cincinnati Bengals will indeed have to deal with Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson on Saturday.
Jefferson confirmed this on Wednesday, which registered as a mild surprise. Jefferson had only just returned last week for the Vikings before leaving with an injury that resulted in a precautionary hospital visit.
If nothing else, Cincinnati benefits from knowing that one of the best weapons in the league will indeed be on the field on Saturday as they prep for quarterback Nick Mullens, who will replace the now-benched Joshua Dobbs as starter for the Vikings.
The Bengals desperately need another win given the current playoff scenarios, so getting to prep for Jefferson this early in the week is notable.
