The Cincinnati Bengals will have three key members of the team listed as doubtful for their Week 3 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Cincinnati listed the following players with that status:
- WR Tee Higgins (Doubtful)
- OL Xavier Su’a-Filo (Doubtful)
- CB Trae Waynes (Doubtful)
Higgins had a limited practice after missing the last two, so odds seemed strong he was going to grit through a shoulder issue and play against the Steelers. The doubtful tag certainly changed that idea. He’s going to test the soreness level before the game and that will dictate whether he plays.
The injury status of Su’a-Filo means rookie Jackson Carman should make his debut against the Steelers. And Trae Waynes is only just getting in his first practices of a regular season with the team, so he was always unlikely.
As for the Steelers, Ben Roethlisberger, as expected, is good to go. Star pass-rusher T.J. Watt is more of a game-time decision:
#Steelers injury report officially out for Sunday’s AFC North tilt vs the #Bengals. Devin Bush and Joe Haden look good to go, TJ Watt’s “door is open” (as he said) and fellow pass rusher Alex Highsmith is OUT. pic.twitter.com/gSNsRYxbOl
