The Cincinnati Bengals indeed tried to revive the Joe Burrow-Thaddeus Moss connection from LSU right after undrafted free agency started this year.
According to Moss himself, via ESPN’s John Keim, the Bengals and New England Patriots were the two teams to call Moss after the draft ended.
Moss ended up signing with the Washington Redskins, apparently because they called first.
Right after the draft we had noted the Bengals would be wise to go get Moss, mostly because of his strong rapport with Burrow. He also happened to be one of the most notable fallers during the draft itself.
Cincinnati missed here on what would’ve been a fun reunion — but it’s the thought that counts, right? The Bengals otherwise had a strong trip to undrafted free agency.
