Bengals’ trash talk leads to response from Colts QB Anthony Richardson

The Colts QB shared his thoughts on the trash talk coming from Bengals players.

The Cincinnati Bengals defense was giving Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson major problems during joint practices this week.

One didn’t have to look far online to find some of the things Bengals players were shouting Richardson’s way in the process.

After the two teams linked up in Thursday’s preseason finale, Richardson responded to questions about what Bengals players had to say as he went 10-of-20 with one score in that joint practice.

“People have been talking my whole life,” Richardson said, according to Nate Atkins of the Indianapolis Star. “It just adds fuel to the fire. I’m going to do me and keep doing me.”

For context, WLWT’s Olivia Ray relayed some of the trash talk from that practice earlier in the week:

No word on what was said between all of the players during Thursday night’s game. But the Bengals ran out backups for the finale and after surrendering a passing touchdown to Richardson initially, Jordan Battle later intercepted the Colts passer and returned it for a touchdown.
