Chad Johnson was all over the place in recent months showing public support for the Cincinnati Bengals.

Arguably the most popular and vocal modern former Bengals star, Johnson appeared on team live streams and elsewhere supporting the team.

And it went far beyond team-sanctioned events. Johnson sent one tweet at Joe Burrow before the draft telling him how much the city would love him. He sent another that Burrow liked. Johnson also pounded the table for the Bengals to draft Tee Higgins, recruited A.J. Green, John Ross, Tyler Boyd and Higgins for workouts and even gave Higgins his blessing to wear No. 85 — and that’s just the headline-catching stuff.

For Bengals fans, it just isn’t often a massive name like this is so blatantly behind the team publicly. It’s refreshing. The Bengals organization made sure to thank Johnson for this with a handwritten letter and — in true Ocho fashion — some cigars.
