It’s no secret the Cincinnati Bengals think they got a first-round product with Tee Higgins, the first selection of the second round.
And Higgins is already proving them right in at least one area by stepping up big off the field.
On the field? The retrospective on Higgins’ collegiate career continues, with Pro Football Focus recently revealing Higgins ranked second in grade among incoming rookie wideouts at 90.5.
No wonder: Higgins caught 59 passes last year and put up 1,167 yards and 13 touchdowns, averaging 19.8 yards per catch. The grade covers plenty of other details revealed through film, but it sure doesn’t hurt to look at the base numbers.
Higgins ranks just behind Tyler Johnson and just above a first-round pick like CeeDee Lamb. Add in the constant A.J. Green comparisons and it’s not hard to see why the Higgins hype keeps building.
Even if Higgins doesn’t break onto the field in a big way as a rookie, it feels like just a matter of time before he’s got a good connection with Joe Burrow going.
