Like they had in five prior rounds, the Cincinnati Bengals stood still at the top of the 2020 NFL draft’s sixth round and made Kansas offensive lineman Hakeem Adeniji the No. 180 pick overall.
Adeniji was a four-year starter for Kansas at tackle who can boast some of that versatility at the next level while mostly competing inside.
The resume of work there fits a need and Adeniji is also a big character fit for a Bengals team that has put a big emphasis on experience and leadership in this draft class.
Adeniji figures to get right in the mix in a competition at one of Cincinnati’s guard spots.
This pick comes after two other notables on Day 3 via linebacker Akeem Davis-Gaither in the fourth round and edge Khalid Kareem in the fifth.
