The Cincinnati Bengals haven’t been shy talking about how the team will upgrade the fan game day experience this year.
Recent revelations talked about a literal throne as part of the proceedings at Paul Brown Stadium. And now, while confirming the Bengals will use fireworks after every touchdown, Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com outlined more changes:
“A brand new and flashy lighting system. A massive “Ruler of the Jungle” presentation stage. A foam sculpture players’ run-out tunnel lined with multiple columns complete with tigers on each side exhaling smoke.”
Gameday and live events coordinator Alex Schweppe summed up the goal: “New traditions are hard. With proper communication and understanding our fan base, it can go a long way. We’re doing things that have never been done here before. Like the “Ruler of the Jungle.” The fans have been wanting a new tradition.”
In addition to the above, new scoreboard graphics, lighting, fresh paint jobs and the Ring of Honor itself will give new life to PBS.
The Bengals know well enough that many facelifts won’t matter if the team isn’t better on the field itself — but it sure doesn’t hurt that the team is finally going overboard in overhauling the fan experience.
