Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow had his calf injury flare up again during the closing moments of his team’s Week 2 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
During the postgame presser, Burrow told reporters that he “tweaked” the calf injury, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer’s Kelsey Conway.
While Burrow said he would have returned to the game if given the chance, he followed up with a wait-and-see approach, per Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic: “Give it a couple nights, couple sleeps, go from there.”
After a tough first half, Burrow established some positive momentum and finished 27-of-41 for 222 yards and two touchdowns with one interception before the injury.
Burrow’s mobility has been pretty clearly hampered over the 0-2 start before he limped off the field on Sunday and a brutal challenge awaits next Monday night when Aaron Donald and the Los Angeles Rams pay them a visit.
