The Cincinnati Bengals appear to have a shot at three wide receivers reaching the 1,000-yard mark in 2022 after last year’s run to the Super Bowl.
An argument for such a feat is simple. They nearly did it last year, with Ja’Marr Chase (1,455 yards), Tee Higgins (1,091) and Tyler Boyd (828) going off for big numbers despite Joe Burrow’s slow start to the year after coming back from an injury early, then resting starters in the season finale.
Add in the idea everyone — but especially Burrow — should just keep improving and the much-upgraded offensive line and it almost seems like a guarantee.
But not everyone would agree. Pro Football Focus just dropped 2022 stat predictions for the Bengals and has them coming up just shy like last year:

Funnily enough, perhaps the most shocking of the predictions is Joe Mixon regressing from his 1,205 yards last season when finally getting to play behind what should be a good run-blocking offensive line. Though given the nature of the position, maybe this is fair enough if he has to miss a game or two.
Regardless, stat projections are food for thought right now and if the numbers are similar to last year, it’s probably a good sign.
