Bengals post what sure seems like an A.J. Green goodbye video

Is this goodbye from Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green?

It seems obvious what happens next between the Cincinnati Bengals and wide receiver A.J. Green.

And with things seemingly trending toward a split this upcoming offseason, the Bengals poured a little gasoline on that simmering fire Friday by releasing a video that sure feels like a goodbye from Green.

In that video, Green offered a telling few lines: “This could be my last year. Or I could come back for more years. You just don’t know. I just want to say thank you and Cincinnati will always be home.”

It’s a well-produced video and well worth the time, with interesting commentary from plenty of folks besides Green himself:

But it’s hard to shake the feeling it isn’t anything other than goodbye. Green recently commented on his playing future with the Bengals, saying he’s ready for whatever this offseason.

And Green has been profoundly replaced in the pecking order by names like Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins. While playing on the $18 million franchise tag this year, he’s caught just 41 of his 88 targets.

While the above video isn’t anything official, the timing is certainly curious.
