While it is well known that the Cincinnati Bengals have improved upon the offensive line, the unit doesn’t usually come up near the top of the rankings, either.
But that changed this week when analyst Warren Sharp revealed his leaguewide offensive line rankings.
There, the Bengals actually slot inside the top 10 at ninth overall.
Cincinnati added to the right tackle spot multiple times, first in free agency with Trent Brown, then in the first round with Amarius Mims. The veteran figures to hold down the job next season despite the rooking prepping as if he’ll start.
That position will need to shake out well for the Bengals to keep such a ranking. The interior of the line will need to remain solid, too, while Orlando Brown Jr.’s ups and downs have already been well-documented this offseason.
Even so, it’s a nice change of pace for a team that couldn’t sniff the top 10 for many years.
