Bengals make roster moves, filling final two practice squad spots

The Bengals finally filled two spots on the practice squad.

The Cincinnati Bengals had two open spots on the practice squad before the team takes on the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 13.

Tuesday, the team announced it filled those spots, signing wideout Tyron Johnson and defensive end Owen Carney.

Carney is a rookie out of Illinois cut by the Dolphins at final cuts this past summer. Johnson has 26 games on his resume over three seasons after going undrafted in 2019 and was cut by the Texans earlier this month.

Notably, the Bengals chose to bring on Johnson instead of bringing back Mike Thomas, who they waived last week after key miscues and promoting Trenton Irwin to a 53 roster spot.
