The Cincinnati Bengals made a handful of roster moves before the team’s Week 9 game against the Carolina Panthers.

Most of them fall under the expected column as the team combats a serious injury bug. The team announced on Saturday that No. 1 corner Chidobe Awuzie now goes to injured reserve. He’d previously revealed he must wait a few weeks for swelling to subside before undergoing surgery to repair his ACL.

The Bengals also signed defensive tackle Domenique Davis off the practice squad to the active roster. He’s insurance with both DJ Reader and Josh Tupou out at least through next week’s bye.

The team also elevated corner Allan George and wideout Trenton Irwin from the practice squad and they will revert back to that squad on Monday. They’re insurance for the wealth of injuries at corner and the indefinite absence of Ja’Marr Chase.
