The Cincinnati Bengals are in a much better place than the New York Jets entering the Week 8 clash between the two AFC teams.
Cincinnati listed rookie running back Chris Evans as out on the final injury report and put a “questionable” tag on wide receiver Auden Tate. Both feel like precautionary moves more than anything else ahead of a game against a 1-5 team.
With Evans out, it just means Samaje Perine will see all of the backup snaps behind Joe Mixon. Tate wasn’t playing a ton at wideout, anyway.
As for the Jets, they have one of the longer injury lists fans will see all season from any team and they’ll miss starting rookie quarterback Zach Wilson, to name the most notable absence:
