Cincinnati Bengals pass-rusher Joseph Ossai popped up on the side field with rehab coordinator Nick Cosgray on Tuesday at team workouts, which raised some eyebrows for fans.
Ossai, a third-round pick in 2021, was a breakout player last preseason before a season-ending injury that he would have presumably been all the way back by now.
But Zac Taylor told The Athletic’s Paul Dehner Jr. that Ossai had another procedure “to help the process,” which will sideline him for a few more weeks. He remains on track for a full-go nod at training camp.
Often cited as a bonus piece the Bengals will get back that only makes the team stronger next season, Ossai’s situation here is both worth noting and watching as the summer progresses.
