The comeback isn’t quite complete. It will take to Sunday when the Cincinnati Bengals hope to capture their first Super Bowl for Joe Burrow to reach the ultimate goal.
The second-year quarterback, for the time being, will have to be content knowing he was voted the AP Comeback Player of the Year.
Burrow was announced as the winner on Thursday at the NFL Honors ceremonies in Los Angeles.

Burrow lost much of his rookie season to a knee injury that caused him to have surgery and go through a rehab process just to get ready for 2021.
He returned and led a team predicted to finish last in the AFC North to the division championship.
Now, he is 60 minutes from earning a Super Bowl 56 ring with his teammates.

Burrow completed 70.4% of his passes, threw for 4,611 yards and 34 touchdowns. He also rushed for 260 yards and 5 touchdowns to prove his knee was as sound as when the Bengals drafted him first overall out of LSU in 2020.
