The Cincinnati Bengals just posted quite the interesting note to fans.

The Cincinnati Bengals aren’t shy about sharing their new vision with fans.

With Elizabeth Blackburn, the team’s Director of Strategy and Engagement, at the helm, the normally quiet Bengals are now front and center in talking with fans about the future and plans.

Take, for instance, a letter Blackburn just penned on Bengals.com, which details droves of things, including how the team plans to have better interactions with fans, how it will better honor past franchise greats and — you guessed it — the new jerseys.

On the topic of redesigned jerseys, Blackburn wrote the following: “I will leave you with this tease to say that I hope you’re excited for a clean look.”

On better honoring past players:

“Finally, I am right there with many of our fans who feel that many of our Bengals legends have not gotten the respect they deserve. I am personally working on ways, big & small, to amp this up. Our great players deserve their proper recognition.”

There’s plenty more in there about gameday changes, how the team plans to win and connection with fans. But these two points — the jerseys and the potential Ring of Honor — stick out the most.

Most recently on the jersey front, the team might have let a hint slip. And the team might have recently leaked plans for a Ring of Honor.

While talk is cheap, Bengals fans have never really received this much talk either. It’s a staggering, welcome change of direction and if the team backs up its talk, everyone wins.
