The Cincinnati Bengals will have to go without wide receiver Tee Higgins for the foreseeable future.
Higgins left Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans and was quickly ruled out with a rib injury.
Roughly an hour after the game, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that Higgins suffered a fractured rib, an injury that can keep him out for a number of weeks.
Higgins, who has been having a brutal start to his season, had just two catches for 19 yards on four targets.
While Higgins misses time, the Bengals will turn to rookie Andrei Iosivas and Trenton Irwin, with fellow rookie Charlie Jones currently on injured reserve due to a thumb injury.
On paper, it would seem safe to project the Bengals don’t have Higgins back until at least after the Week 7 bye.
Update: Higgins spoke about his injury this week and said he might try to play through it.
