The Cincinnati Bengals head into Week 11 as slight underdogs against the Washington Football Team.
That would make some form of sense no matter how bad Washington has looked at times under new head coach Ron Rivera, with oddsmakers listing the Bengals as 1.5-point underdogs, per BetMGM.
Cincinnati is on the road for this non-conference affair and just flopped hard out of the bye via a blowout loss at the hands of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Washington has lost two in a row entering the game, but by a total of just six points. They’re 2-7 on the season and in the race for the No. 1 overall pick, with both of their wins coming against their fellow downtrodden NFC East companions.
Given the general outlook, the Bengals make for an interesting underdog play, provided the line doesn’t shift ahead of kickoff. The team, at least along the offensive line, sounds much healthier than it was this time last week.
Then again, as is the case with many games where the most interesting outcome is the impact on the top-10 draft order, would-be bettors might be best avoiding this one outright.
