Bengals donate to help Harrison High School install new field

The Bengals will help another local high school football team.

The Cincinnati Bengals and the NFL’s Grassroots Program contributed $250,000 to Harrison High School as a way to help install a new turf field.

The grant is part of a second wave of $3 million in total doled out for the program this year.

“It’s always great to be able to give back and make a difference, so we’re honored to have played a role in helping this project come to fruition,” Bengals Executive Vice President Katie Blackburn said, according to the team’s website. “We look forward to seeing the finished fields and the positive impact they will have on youth for years to come.”

The NFL Foundation Grassroots Program has been working nationwide since 1998 on projects such as this, including all sorts of upgrades to stadiums.

This is just another step in the partnership for the Bengals, which has coordinated with this group to dole out north of $2 million on similar projects locally over the years.
