The vibe around the rehab of Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Chidobe Awuzie continues to be good as the team heads for summer break.

Awuzie recently spoke on his injury recovery and now head coach Zac Taylor has offered some noteworthy comments on this subject, too.

In a fun twist for fans, Taylor goes as far as saying Awuzie is “built differently” when it comes to rehab.

“That’s one thing I’ve learned in five years. Always reserve injury excitement and I see the same things you guys do,” Taylor said, according to Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com. “Chido’s built differently. He’s done a great job attacking the rehab and doing the things you need to do coming off injury had on Halloween he’s done a great job attacking the rehab and doing the things you need to do coming off injury … Won’t make any rush of judgment on him coming back.” …

If Awuzie for some reason can’t go by Week 1, second-year upstart Cam Taylor-Britt will be the No. 1 corner on the outside while names like rookie DJ Turner likely get a chance to play.

That said, there has been little to suggest Awuzie won’t be good to go by the opener against the Browns.
