Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan is taking the next step in the hiring process for a head coach position with at least one team.
According to ESPN’s Dan Graziano, the Tennessee Titans have requested a second interview with Callahan regarding their vacant head coach position.
Callahan interviewed with the Titans last week virtually, with league rules prohibiting in-person interviews for now. This second interview will be in person at a later date.
So far, Callahan has had or will have interviews with four teams about a job, with the Titans the first to request a follow-up. Given how hot his name is on the market right now, it’s safe to presume this won’t be the last.
Those Titans moved on from Mike Vrabel and presumably want to build an offensive-minded staff around Will Levis in the coming years. If Callahan leaves, quarterbacks coach Dan Pitcher remains the most likely to get promoted to offensive coordinator.
