The Cincinnati Bengals announced a trio of moves on Friday, which the team says finalized its coaching staff under Zac Taylor for the 2021 season.
Those moves were as follows:
- Hired Justin Hill as RBs coach
- Promoted Troy Walters to WRs coach
- Promoted Brad Kragthorpe to assistant WRs coach
Those are minor moves compared to the team’s biggest coaching change, which was swapping out Jim Turner for Frank Pollack as offensive line coach.
Interestingly, the Bengals didn’t end up hiring a few of the names they were reportedly interviewing, such as Gary Brown as running backs coach.
Regardless of what happened there, the team now has a finalized staff facing a critical stretch of games over the first half of next season for a third-year string of coaches headed up by Taylor that need to right the ship quickly.
