The Cincinnati Bengals have officially announced their practice squad protections for Week 2 ahead of Thursday’s game against the Cleveland Browns.
According to ESPN’s Ben Baby, the Bengals will protect the following players:
- S Trayvon Henderson
- WR Stanley Morgan
- TE Mason Schreck
- OG Keaton Sutherland
For Week 1, the Bengals had protected defensive lineman Amani Bledsoe — but he just got called up to the main roster in a flurry of roster moves before Thursday night.
Sutherland is the new protected name for Week 2, which is pretty telling about how the team feels both about him as a prospect and perhaps how it feels about the offensive line as a whole.
Cincinnati is permitted to protect four players on the practice squad from getting claimed by other teams each week under the expanded set of rules due to the coronavirus pandemic.
